Wes Jackson | BRIC President | Raised By Brooklyn
For BRIC President, Wes Jackson, being “Raised By Brooklyn” is a way of life.
From the stoop to the bodega, from the flower shop to the coffee house, and back home again-Brooklyn sticks to you. It’s what turns a ride on the A train into a canvas for expression. It’s in the comfort of neighbors at the local barber or beauty store, where everyone is accepted. Brooklyn is a place where you can be yourself and find yourself.
Let’s continue honoring all that’s #RaisedByBrooklyn at our Gala House Party starring D-Nice on 6/12. Get your ticket in support of BRIC, bit.ly/48JdlDf.

I have autism, I’m not black but I am indigenous in Canada which comes with its own policing problems, usually I am verbal but a lot of the time during meltdowns I couldn’t talk, or if I did it was just a repetitive sentence. In Canada we have police in our schools ( at least in Alberta we did ) I had a cop who had been informed of my condition many times in my middle school and he would still put me in a room alone and give me “ 3 minutes to tell him what’s wrong what’s wrong or I’d be going to a mental health doctor instead of attending school that day “ a few times he threatened to arrest me under the mental health act and take me to the hospital in handcuffs. He never phased is as a way to get help, it was always a threat. I really hope any over policed community gets justice because from my experience the cops tend to reveal in your failure to be mentally okay. This kinda trauma is different because I constantly feel like I need to hide it or people will call the police.

You know that you are a total junkie when you choose to produce your own stuff instead of finally quitting for good… I hope that if she gets cancer they will decline her treatment at the hospital with the words: grow your own remedies instead of jamming the hospital for those who made better choices in their lives

I originally believed Nick was innocent. The more I’ dug, I am convinced Nick is guilty. You leave an out a lot of facts which clearly show your agenda . Nick made a left turn from the high school parking lot right after Garrett made a left turn. Nick’s house was a right turn. Why was Nick following Garrett home?

Opting out, I love it. Buy BTC, same thing, all of that printer money, diluting yours, must be paid back (taxation, inflation), with BTC, you’re saying I understand that that energy, must be paid back, that energy stolen, can’t be destroyed, it must be taken from ease where, you and I and BTC says no, that won’t be me, I opt out. Good on you, girl, now, to do that in all the industries we can.

She's one of the healthiest smokers in America since she's growing her own. The amount of chemicals they spray on tobacco for "flavour" is ridiculous, and a huge part of withdrawal symptoms when people quit. Nicotine may be addictive, but it's not half as bad as the crap they add.

I worked tobacco for many years, and have rolled one up from a single leaf I cured myself. Tastes like crap. But, to each their own I suppose.
